I’ve been dancing for 14 years at Dancing Plus and currently attend Western High School. Some of my noteworthy Dance credits include Intrigue Teen True Performer 2019-2020, ADE Senior All-Star Prodigy 2020-2021, and Dancing Plus Extreme Team 2017-2021. The ability to express yourself through movement inspires me most about the art of dance. I think the vulnerability of Dance presents such a unique form of intimacy as you are able to convey so much of yourself to your audience without having to physically say it. Dance allows you to be able to learn and grow within yourself, which is such a rewarding and humble experience. Being able to take many different, unique classes has helped shape me into the dancer I am today. Experiencing distinct types of teachers, teaching styles, movement, and environments gives an expensive variety of education, which has mostly taught me maturity and professionalism. As a dancer, my future goals include to continue to grow and dance at my home studio, while finding new opportunities and experiences to learn. After graduation, I plan on dancing through college and discovering different pathways of expressing my creativity through movement. I decided to join the Âme Project to prolong my involvement as a dancer that was fostered through a want for growth. This project would help push my limits and cultivate a more open mind through exploration. I wanted to be a part of something and get to progress with other cast members that are some of the most cherished people in my life and will only encourage me to flourish. By being a part of the Âme Project I hope to explore my boundaries as a dancer that urges more creative expression. I hope to minimize negative obstacles in my mind and promote exploration of movement without judgment within myself. Additionally, I would like to share my internal experience with those I will be surrounded by in this project to advance the progress I will make. Other than Dance, I love to connect with nature in any way I can, which usually means taking a walk, going on a bike ride, watching the sunrise and watching it fall. I am also very interested in traveling. I love being able to learn and see different parts of the world and embrace the beautiful cultures that make our people and world so diverse. The people I would most like to thank for my journey thus-far are my parents. They have provided me with such amazing opportunities throughout my life and I owe them everything I have. They are the ones that constantly sacrifice for me to be able to do what I love. I would also like to thank my dance teachers that have pushed me past what I thought were my limits and taught me to be the person and dancer I am today. I would also like to thank myself for this journey because no matter how many times I have been beaten down, I have always persevered and grown to be the best possible version of myself.
