My name is Samantha Taylor Gruebele, and I’m 18 years old. I’ve been dancing for 8 years, training primarily at Dancing Plus while also studying at Somerset Dance Conservatory. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to experience some amazing opportunities in the dance world. I’ve worked as an Intrigue Teen Assistant, won Intrigue’s National Improv title, and was honored to be runner-up in both the Imagination competition and the Solo Gauntlet.
What inspires me most about dance is its ability to tell a story. I love how movement and emotion can reach people in a way that words often can’t, and my goal as a dancer is always to make an audience feel exactly what I’m feeling. I credit my studio and the dancers around me for shaping who I am today, as they’ve pushed me to grow and inspired me constantly.
Looking ahead, my dream is to dance for an artist or be part of a professional company. I decided to join The Âme Project because of the love and dedication that goes into the work, and I’m excited to keep developing as an artist through film. My hope is to continue growing my ability to genuinely connect with others so that people can feel my heart and story through my dancing.
Outside of dance, I also love fashion, yoga, and music, all of which fuel my creativity. Most importantly, I want to thank my family and my teachers—Idy Vandepas, Hannah Seitner, Jenni Waters, Alesha Seitner, Shari Malvin, and Ali Bramwell—for believing in me and guiding me every step of the way.
