The clickity-clack of a computer keyboard late at night. Dirty mirrors. Car rides with a friend. Tinker bell sheets. A cow stuffed animal. The smell of cooking and baking. Distant guitar playing. We all have those one or two things that make home, HOME for us. Things that most people likely wouldn’t understand, but when we see, hear, feel, or touch them, we are blanketed with a sense of calm and safety. If we’re lucky, we also can be given this sense of security from the people we love. We’re given solace knowing that these people will be there no matter where we go, how far we are from them, or how long we’re apart. Sadly, sometimes we forget this fact. The path that our lives takes us on gets long. It gets treacherous. It can even stop us in our tracks and we can feel like we are given nowhere else to go. There are times when all we need and long for is some kind of sign on our journey that our home is not far away, but near. This film is a reminder that no matter what happens or where we go, there will always be that one thing or person in our hearts that can heal and rejuvenate us. Our home is always “Not Far Now”. The Âme Project’s 4th film is dedicated to our five graduating company members who have recently started on a new chapter in their lives. No matter where each of you go, we hope that The Âme Project will always be a home for you.
