I have been dancing for eleven years and received my dance training from numerous dance studios over the years, including Dance Theatre, Stars Dance Studio, and I am currently training at Dancing Plus. I’ve also been very fortunate to receive additional dance training from my current school Somerset Arts Conservatory. I am currently finishing my senior year at Somerset Arts Conservatory, and I am very excited to say I will be attending Point Park University in the Fall of 2023 to continue to grow and explore the art of dance. I will be going for a Dance BFA, with a concentration in modern. I feel so thankful to have the opportunity to study dance in college, and I am looking forward to all I will experience in the Conservatory of Performing Arts at Point Park University.
Some of my most noteworthy credits include receiving the Somerset Arts Conservatory - Excellence in the Arts for Dance award, being made Co-Captain of the Somerset Pantherettes Varsity dance team for both my junior and senior year of high school, and becoming a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
What inspires me most about the art of dance is how it has an overwhelming ability to bring people together through both the most cherished, as well as the most difficult moments of life. Growing up dancing has not only helped me find my most honest and safest form of expression, but it has given me a true family, and has allowed me to connect with countless people both in and out of the dance community. I am so lucky to have a life filled with beautiful peers, and mentors who I have built meaningful connections with throughout my life. Just thinking about how dance has allowed me to personally connect, and share my most genuine self with so many people, as well as them with me, truly inspires me. Being able to express myself and share my heart through dance is special to me, though having the privilege to closely share dance alongside so many beautiful people who I love deeply means everything to me. I will always cherish and be inspired by the art because of this. I believe my dance teachers who I have been lucky enough to train with throughout the years have made me into the dancer I am today. They have shown me what it means to dedicate yourself to your craft unapologetically, and to always put your heart into everything you do above anything else. I also feel as if certain life experiences have shaped me into the dancer I am today, as they have inspired my deepest, and most personal expression and art, which has also brought me closer to my peers and teachers. My future goal as a dancer is definitely to teach and choreograph one day. To be able to mentor, give my heart to, and be there for anyone or even my own students one day the way my teachers were for me growing up, even if it is just to one person, would be my biggest and most cherished dream as a dancer.
I decided to join The Âme Project because I felt truly inspired by, and connected to the directors and their art in their first films such as Headway, Hindsight, and Hello Again. I adore the directors with my whole heart. I feel extremely lucky to have met them, and to have had the privilege of getting to know them throughout this past year. They are beautiful inside and out, and this shows so evidently in the work they do, which inspired me, and made my decision to join The Âme Project so easy. By being a part of The Âme Project I hope to touch people the way the directors and current members have touched me, and impacted my life. I hope to be able to share my heart, and most honest self with everyone who is lucky enough to know and support The Âme Project, and to make the directors and current members proud of the art, time, and projects we will create and share together.
While most of my time is spent dancing, I love to spend quality time outside of dance with the people I love, and to spend my free time at the park, enjoying nature. I would like to thank my family and closest friends for making my life so meaningful. You have made me who I am today, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I would also like to thank Mrs. Idy for the opportunity to be a part of this special company. You have changed my life in more ways than one, and I love you. Thank you for making my life so purposeful. Thank you for letting me be a part of something so valuable to you. It means the world to me, and I cherish you and The Âme Project.
