I received my dance training from Dancing Plus in Pembroke Pines, FL. In my 18 years at Dancing Plus, I danced competitively while also training at multiple conventions and intensives around the country. I have been dancing since I was 2 years old and am now 21. Through grade school I attended a performing arts conservatory where I studied dance in depth, after graduating High School I attended the Aveda Institute of South Florida where I did a year-long program and received my cosmetology license. Some of my noteworthy credits are that I was named Neovate Best Director 2020, I’ve received numerous Choreography awards at various competitions, and was named as an Intrigue Senior Assistant from 2019-2020. The biggest aspect of dance that drives my inspiration for the Art is the fact that it can be interpreted in numerous ways and constantly provides me with different perspectives on life. Dance allows me to create art that inspires others with my own voice and zero judgement, while giving me a sense of freedom and a safe space to share my feelings. I love getting to see others experience waves of emotion through watching my choreography come to life. Growing up in the dance community, I truly value that every individual is so unique. There’s a certain beauty about being surrounded by other dancers from all walks of life. Being immersed in that environment, where everyone’s goal is to enhance their craft, is what inspired me the most as I evolved as a dancer, and continues to inspire me as a choreographer. Growing up at the same studio for my entire life has given me a consistent support system of role models and teachers who have helped shape me into the person I am today, both in and out of the studio. My studio has been my family since day one. Each and every human who has walked through those doors has taught me that discipline, passion, and focus can help me make any goal a reality. My future goals consist of taking every opportunity that comes my way as a learning experience to help me grow and continue to enhance my abilities as both a dancer and teacher. No matter how big or small, each opportunity is a blessing and a chance to evolve in more ways than one. I’m really looking forward to working alongside the cast members and to be part of something so uniquely special. I believe in Idy’s vision and am excited to see how this project flourishes from the ground up. I’m additionally grateful that I get the opportunity to both dance and work behind the scenes on hair and makeup, which is another passion of mine. By being a member of The Âme Project, I am excited to work alongside the founding cast to get the project on its feet. I hope that I can influence the direction of the project by getting it the recognition it deserves. Although performing is one of my biggest passions, teaching has become the most rewarding aspects of my life. It has given me opportunities and wonderful kids that make me excited to work and create on. This environment has opened doors for my other interests such as making others feel beautiful through hair and makeup. As well as, photographing and filming dancers in their most beautiful, creative state. I would like to thank my mom who has supported my path and journey every step of the way, along with every teacher who has given me the guidance to keep growing and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Finally, I would like to thank Ms. Shari who has given me the space to create and the encouragement to grow as an artist.
