I have been dancing for 15 years and have been dancing at Dancing Plus for twelve years. I am currently attending Flanagan High School, and I am undecided on where I will be attending college. To me, the art of dance is most inspiring because it is a universal language. It has the ability to connect you to others, even complete strangers, without having to exchange any words. It is so inspiring to me that dance is capable of producing such beautiful moments. I’d like to believe that I have taken something small from every experience and allowed it to translate into my movement, however, I believe that my dance teachers are most responsible for molding me into the dancer I am today. I have been dancing with most of my teachers since I was very young, but they have all pushed me to become more disciplined and inspired me to grow both as a dancer and as a person. I feel so grateful to have the opportunity to learn from people who have so much passion for their craft. My future goals as a dancer are to continue to push past the limits that I set for myself and to always remember my true love and passion for dance. I hope to continue dancing in college, whether it’s on the school team or at a studio. I was inspired to join the Âme Project to continue to challenge and push myself to find my true path in dance. I believe that this project is an incredible opportunity to absorb new styles, test new movement qualities, and continue to perfect my craft. As a part of Âme, I hope to find my voice as a dancer and, eventually, a choreographer. The message of this company is very important to me, so I will work to deliver that message to the audience as best as I can. When I am not dancing, I like to play guitar, listen to music, and bake. I would like to thank my family for always being there to support me, through thick and thin. I never would have made it this far in my dance career if it wasn’t for their constant love and support. I would also like to thank my wonderful Dancing Plus Family. I couldn’t imagine my second home being anywhere but Dancing Plus. Lastly, I want to thank Mrs. Idy and my fellow members of Âme for allowing me into such a beautiful environment of love and support.
